William & Kate Visit Their Namesake City -- Cambridge

Today, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to their namesake city for the first time since accepting their royal titles. Cambridge has been awaiting the visit since the Queen bestowed the dukedom on her grandson just a few hours before he married Kate in April of last year.

The royal couple arrived by train (from King's Crossing in London) and were slowly driven through the city so the crowds could catch a glimpse. Hundreds of cheering locals lined the streets to greet them. William and Kate spent the day celebrating the city's famous university, and some of its charities, schools and hardworking volunteers.

The Duke and Duchess travelled to Guildhall where they walked through Cambridge's Market Square to the University of Cambridge's Senate House.

One of the highlights of the visit saw the royal couple open a new 24-hour support center for rough sleepers run by the charity Jimmy's.

Kate wrapped up in a pink MaxMara Studio 'Belli' belted wool coat (Was £ 980 On Sale for Was £ 784 but sold out). On a side note, the Duchess wore the skinny bow belt (included with the coat) upside down.

Completing her outfit, the Duchess wore her brown suede Aquatalia Rouge boots (renamed 'Royal), her brown suede Emmy clutch, thick brown tights and her Kiki McDonough 'Grace' earrings.

The day was rather windy and Kate had a tough time with her glossy locks.
