The only noticeable thing about the couple, was their black cocker spaniel, Lupo and their entourage of protection officers accompanying them.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took the train from Kings Lynn, Norfolk back to London and arrived during rush-hour, making their way, almost unnoticed among the heavy crowds.

The couple had been staying at Anmer Hall for the past fortnight, overseeing the final stages of a £1.5million refurbishment. Their home is on the Queen’s Sandringham estate, and is where they will be spending more time when Prince William starts his new job as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Kate was casually dressed in her cropped skinny jeans, blouse, sweater, baseball cap and her Barbour Defence jacket (originally £199, went on sale for £149 and discontinued).

Completing her outfit, the duchess wore her grey Mint Velvet plimsolls and carried two bags over her shoulders. The small bag is her Tod's bag (called the G Bag Sacca Hobo) which she often carried in her dating days, and the larger bag is the 'Odyssey' by SandStorm Kenya (thanks to a follower on 'My Small Obsessions' for the ID).
